I live in Charlotte NC with my husband and three school age children. We took ownership of the Forest Hill house at end of Jan 2008. I wanted a place of my own while I continue with AYC's 500 hr program which I have completed by Dec 2008. Since then, I am a perpetual student of AYC and attend workshops and classes that interest me. We began major renovations on the Forest Hill house replacing the roof, windows, floors, kitchen and bathrooms. Finishing with the installation of the central air conditioning in June. Four months of planning and anticipation but well worth the effort and patience. The Forest Hill house is in the very desireable Kenilworth neighborhood near Biltmore Estate.
Almost a year has flown by since our first guest arrived at the Forest Hill house in May 2008. With returning guests, new guests, and growing children we needed more room. We purchased the School Rd house in October 2008 and similiar to the Forest Hill Rd house, began major renovations putting lots of love and attention to details. The main level is ready for occupancy which has 2 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms. The lower level is slated to be finished by fall of 2009. When completed the house will have a total of 5 bedrooms 3 full bathrooms. The School Rd house is in the beautiful Malvern Hills neighborhood in West Asheville. There is plenty of parking on the dual driveways and on the street.
Both houses are truly a labor of love as we put many hours of hard work to making the houses a home away from home. We are proud to offer an affordable, clean, comfortable alternative to staying at a hotel for current and former AYC students.
